Stella at 8 months.

Stella turned 8 months old on January 13th and is changing everyday! We haven't uploaded her 8 month pictures, but Morgan took them and I promise to get them up soon! I like to jot down things that Stella is doing at this point so I won't forget!
Stella is army crawling now! She gets all over the house and fast.
I think her 2 bottom teeth are about to come in because I feel the bumps and she has been super cranky.
Stella was laughing and playing with another kid like she was a big kid (Peregrine). It was really cool to see.
She is eating lots of different fruits and veggies and she is not a fan of green beans!
She loves taking baths and sits up in her little bath tub now.
I signed her up for swim lessons so she starts next Saturday. I really think she'll like it because she loooves the water!
Stella's first word was mama, second word was dada and now she only says dada. I tell her to say mama and she looks and me, smiles and whispers "dada". It actually doesn't make me feel bad at all because Morgan deserves to feel the way you feel when your precious baby says your name :)it's the best.
Stella laughs a lot! She loves to sit on our shoulders and laugh at herself in the mirror.
She loves to be naked!
She is obsessed with our iPhones even though she has a million colorful toys to play with.
She loves to look out the back sliding glass door and blows raspberries on the window.
She loves her swing in the backyard and after she swings she likes to touch the lemons on our lemon tree.
In the morning after she gets up, she lays in bed with me and Morgan and cuddles us up.
After we cuddle I put my robe on and wrap her in the front. She snuggles her head into my chest and whips her head back and forth!
We can now take Stella out to restaurants and enjoy our time. She is easily distracted, especially if her aunts, uncles and grandma and grandpa are there.
She loves her family and everyone adores her!

Caged in.

Stella is army crawling all over the place and I can't keep track of her while I am working, so I had to buy a "gate" aka a baby cage for her. I feel bad, but I also feel worse when she is ramming her head into the coffee table over and over again or going for the electrical sockets, or licking the kitchen floor; you get the point. Anyways, I can see where she is at all times now and that makes the day easier for me. We are only using it during my work hours and when we really need it. Can you tell I still feel a little guilty for having it? I am sure I will get over it at some point!

Working.

It is a beautiful day in Southern CA, so Stella and I decided to take our offices (Stella works for my company, she is a project manager) outside. She loved it and so did I. I put a blanket down, sprawled out some toys, put Pandora on my phone and we worked! It was a nice break in the day!
