My Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day was fun. Friday the 13th was Melissa's Birthday, so on Valentine's Day we planned a dinner at the sit down Cucas in Redlands and followed that up with some karaoke at Redlands Underground. I am not sure what has happened to the Underground, but it was as if we had stepped into Hickville USA. The men looked inbred and the women looked corn fed. Seriously they were some of the largest (tall and heavy) women I have ever seen and there were a ton of them (literally)! I drank my weight in Guiness and sang my heart out! I kicked off my karaoke night with Bonnie Raitt's "Something to Talk About" and then jumped into a little "Supersonic" by JJ Fad. It was me, Melissa and my cousin Brian and it was horrible. Supersonic is one of those songs you think you know until you try to sing it at karaoke. We quickly realized that all of us only knew one verse out of this seven verse song! Needless to say, it didn't go well! The night ended with Melissa twirling some huge bald man wearing a Godfather t-shirt around in circles, Aunt Rebecca clogging the toilet in the ladies room, my cousin getting high in the parking lot and ME throwing all of my Cucas up in my parent's bathroom! It wasn't a romantic night, but it was really fun! Oh, but my Morgan surprised me on Friday when I got home from rehearsal with a bouquet of tulips (my favorite flower) and a really romantic card. He is my favorite!
