What a day!

My day yesterday...

11:30 AM- Interview with Bridget's company.

12:30 PM- Go to work get laid off.

1:30 PM- Talk to Morgan and realize that taking 3 weeks off to go to Australia when starting a new job will be impossible.

1:32 PM- Decide to go to Australia on April 1st instead of August.

So that's that! Morgan and I will be in Australia April 1st-17th and we are very excited. I am not good at adjusting to big changes and there were a lot yesterday. I have a constant nervous stomach, but it has to work out! Australia here we come!

Enough crying!

Multiple amazing things happened yesterday. They may not seem that big of a deal to most, but I was in dyer need of a pick me up. The amazingness started around 3:30PM yesterday with a cupcake from a bakery called CRUMBS across the street from my work. They just opened up so I thought it was only proper that I tried a cupcake out for myself. My favorite kind of cake is strawberry with strawberry frosting. I honestly just love anything strawberry. CRUMBS had a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting and it definitely did the job. I split it with Lauren and she was very pleased!

A little later in the afternoon I was chatting with Morgan on gchat and we decided that we would not worry about money (for once) and treat ourselves to sushi! It was so good and just what I needed! When we got home I took a bubble bath, put my comfy sushi jammies on, made a cup of tea and watched the movie "Milk". It was honestly a perfect night. I feel truly refreshed today. Lauren and I have a show tonight and my family is coming out. I am so excited! We are gonna rock the house!

If you are in a good mood, don't read this post...

Things haven't been great. I have been sick since last Monday. I have a terrible cough and my voice is super raspy, I sound like an old man! I have a show tomorrow night and I am praying my voice comes back. I also found out last week that I am getting laid off because the company I work for may be going out of business. The economy is so horrible, I can feel the negativity all around me. I am trying to stay positive I really am, but it is so hard to see the light. Then last Sunday we woke up to a message from Morgan's mom telling us that Morgan's cousin had been in a really bad accident and he is in critical condition. We went to the hospital shortly after receiving that message. It doesn't look like he is going to make it. He has no brain activity and nothing has changed since last week. I feel so sad for Morgan and his family. I wish I could make things better and I can't this time. I just try to make Morgan smile when I can and I pray for a miracle.

Morgan and I never spend money because of my job situation and because we want to buy a house and hopefully go to Australia this summer, but tonight we will splurge! We are going to our favorite restaurant; Midori Sushi. They have all you can eat sushi for $25 a person. We haven't been there in a really long time and tonight we will feast! I don't care today, I just want to have a nice night and not worry about anything.

Sorry for being so depressing, but it felt good to get it out.

Fun!

Happy Birthday to my Daddy!

My dad and I are 30 years apart(it's how we both remember our age). He is 59 today and I feel like he looks exactly the same as he did when we were kids. I love my dad so much, he is the most amazing father and husband. I hope you have a good day today daddy!

I love Saturday mornings!

I woke up this morning with Morgan in my face! He woke up at 7:30AM and it was now going on 9:30AM and he couldn't stand being up by himself anymore! I'm usually grumpy in the morning, but he knows me well so he already had coffee made. He's a good man! I got up and made breakfast and listened to music. We are usually on the go so this was a nice change of pace. We are going to Target in a bit to get some mulch for Morgan Junior (Morgan's plant he has brought back to life) and then we are meeting up with Lauren and Jason (Morg's great friend) at Morgan's work to watch Goodfellas in the theatre on Blu-Ray. I just love relaxing!

The Band (Thanks for the pics Morg)!

I tried to upload these pictures on Monday, but the files were VERY large. Lauren and I had our band over to her house for chili, booze and Wii last Friday night to thank them for playing. We went grocery shopping during our lunch break for all the fixins with the money we made at The Cat Club. It is seriously the least we could do; these guys are awesome. We had a great time! There was even an impromptu dance party! I didn't post pictures of that because it was late and we all looked as drunk as we actually were!

My Family...

I have been thinking about my family a lot lately and how lucky I am. They are all my best friends in the world. I just thought it would be nice to pay tribute to these crazy, beautiful people. Pictures of my new family (Morgan's side) to come...

My dad and I are more similar than we like to admit. I love him more than he will ever know! He is kind, generous, funny, smart, handsome and the hardest worker I have ever met!

My mom and I know we are alike and we think it is funny! She is the strongest woman I know. I want her strength. She is hilarious, smart, beautiful and wise.

Oh Melissa! I have always looked up to her. Whenever she is around it feels like a constant party. I miss her when we go too long without seeing each other. Melissa is crazy, beautiful and stronger than she knows, oh and did I mention crazy!?

Ryan: I was Ryan's side kick growing up. I basically did and said anything he told me to do. He is laid back, sarcastic, funny, a brilliant writer, and amazing father and one of my best friend's in the world.
Bridget: Bridgie is my heart. She was MY sidekick and she did and said anything I told her to do growing up. She has grown up to be such a beautiful, smart, hilarious and thoughtful woman. I love her so much!

Oh my Angela. Angela and I played basketball together in high school and became best friends. She fell in love with my brother and now I get to keep her forever. I love Angela because she is always up for anything (even going to Taco Bell in Harlem during a blizzard) She is one of the smartest people I know and she is an amazing mother to Ben and Elliott.

Eric makes my sister very happy and I am so honored to have him as a part of our family. I am so glad we got to spend quality time with Eric in Ireland. He showed us such a great time! He is funny, sweet and caring and I love him very much!

Little Benjamin. I can't believe he will be starting kindergarten this year! I remember when he was born (he tried to escape out of his little bed). He is such a thoughtful, sweet, silly and extremely interesting little boy. I love his kisses and hugs. I adore this little man!

Then there is Elliott. Our littlest member of the family. He has a big personality. He is very little considering how big everyone in the family is. I love his skinny little legs and his wispy brown hair. He is very loving and gives open mouth kisses. I love him so!

Sometimes I find it hard to put into words how much I love Morgan. He makes me feel safe and secure. I am content, not the I have settled content that I have felt before, but the happy content. Everything else in my life can be going wrong, but I know I have Morgan to come home to each night. He is my everything.

I love a good deal!

On Saturday Morgan and I went to Pier 1 with his mom and grandma. We were just tagging along because his mom and grandma love to shop and they were looking for a new mirror to put in their dining room. Now, Morgan and I are saving up to go to Australia and to eventually purchase a home so we don't really shop or buy anything fun for ourselves, but sometimes we make an exception! We found a head board, foot board and frame for $65 at Pier 1!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even have to hesitate and I don't feel guilty at all! Morgan put it together right when we got home that day. We love it!
